Becky’s Love Letter to Maine
Beauty has never been one size, one shape, or one story.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we're honored to share the story of FlatWear Clothing and the women behind it.
Heather has known Becky Johnson for over 20 years through real estate, and we are so proud to feature her and her business partner, Tracy Friden, as part of The Maine Women's Project.
After undergoing a bilateral mastectomy, Becky made the decision to live flat. What she discovered was that there were very few clothing options designed for women who had made the same choice.
So she and Tracy decided to do something about it.
Together, they created FlatWear, a Maine-based clothing company designed for women living flat after mastectomy.
What we love about this story is that it's about so much more than clothing. It's about women having choices, feeling confident in their own bodies, and supporting one another along the way.
We’ve always admired women who see a need and take the initiative to make a difference. Becky and Tracy have done just that, and The Maine Women's Project is proud to share their story.
